Welcome to the 2026 Ravens Volleyball Club Beach Program!

Participant Information

PURPOSE: FUN and Skill Development

 FORMAT: Three sand courts. Grass courts will be added as needed. Due to increasing demand and to ensure more players get to play, there are modifications to team size allowed. See details below

  • 4v4 for Junior teams, with up to 5 players registered per team.
  • 3v3 for Intermediate, with up to 4 players registered per team
  • 2v2 Senior teams, with up to 4 players registered per team
Co-ed teams are welcome and playing with friends is encouraged. On the first night, players will be given an orientation to beach volleyball rules

WHO: Maximum 24 teams per division. Divisions are based on the  Volleyball Alberta’s 2025-26 club season age classes. Divisions are based on the 2025-26 club season (see below) and/or school grade. Priority will be given to Ravens club team members and/or beach players from previous seasons. Coordinators reserve right to move teams between divisions to even out schedules. Each player needs to be registered and have a current Volleyball Alberta Member Number (i.e., no walk-ons). Players are prohibited from playing in multiple divisions. 

  • JUNIOR – U13 and U14 or Grades 7 and 8
  • INTERMEDIATE – U15 or Grade 9
  • SENIOR – U16-U18 or Grades 10, 11, and 12

    Each player needs to be registered and have a current Volleyball Alberta Member Number. No walk-ons are permitted. Priority will be given to Ravens club team members and/or beach players from previous seasons. Coordinators reserve right to move teams between divisions to even out schedules. Players are prohibited from playing in multiple divisions.

WHEN:  projected 6 weeks, from May 12 to June 26. Mark your calendars:

  • JUNIOR (Tuesdays) –May 12, May 19, June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23
  • INTERMEDIATE (Wednesdays) – May 13, May 20, June 3, June 10, June 17, June 24
  • SENIOR (Mondays and Thursdays) – June 1 (M), June 4 (TR), June 8 (M), June 11 (TR), June 18 (TR), June 25 (TR)

Mondays will be used for rainouts and reschedules when necessary. There will be playoffs during the final week with lots of fun prizes!  NOTE:  THERE WILL BE NO BEACH VOLLEYBALL DURING THE WEEK OF MAY 25th due to volleyball Canada indoor Nationals in Calgary.

HOW MUCH: $40 per player.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:  Players will register as individuals, but must have team members, team name, and their Volleyball Alberta Member Number identified prior to registration.   Payment is required at the time of registration. Registration opens April 1st and deadline is May 3rd.

ON-SITE VOLUNTEERS will be needed for each night. Volunteer’s role will be to keep games on schedule, answer questions and general supervision.  If interested, please indicate your contact information in the registration system OR contact us at beach@ravensvolleyballclub.com. If there are not enough volunteers, then that division will not run.
