Participant Information
PURPOSE: FUN and Skill Development
FORMAT: Three sand courts. Grass courts will be added as needed.
- 3v3 for Junior teams, with up to 4 players registered per team.
- 2v2 for Intermediate and Senior teams, with up to 3 players registered per team.
Co-ed teams are welcome. There will be playoffs during the final week with fun prizes! On their first night, players will be given an orientation to beach volleyball rules.
WHERE: Sand Courts, south of Meridian Heights School, Stony Plain.
WHO: Maximum 24 teams per division. Divisions are based on the 2023-24 club season (see below) and/or school grade. Priority will be given to Ravens club team members and/or beach players from previous seasons. Coordinators reserve right to move teams between divisions to even out schedules. Each player needs to be registered and have a current Volleyball Alberta Member Number (i.e., no walk-ons). Players are prohibited from playing in multiple divisions.
- JUNIOR – U13 and U14 (Sept 1, 2009 to Dec 31, 2011) or Grades 7 and 8
- INTERMEDIATE – U15 (Sept 1, 2008 to Dec 31, 2009) or Grade 9
- SENIOR – U16+ (Sept 1, 2005 to Dec 31, 2008) or Grades 10, 11 and 12
WHEN: projected 6 weeks, from May 21 through June 26.
- JUNIOR (Tuesday’s) – May 21, May 28, June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25
- INTERMEDIATE (Wednesday’s) – May 22, May 29, June 5, June 12, June 19, June 26
- SENIOR (Thursday’s) – May 23, May 30, June 6, June 13, June 20, June 24 (Monday, in lieu of Thursday, June 27 due to high graduation, end of year celebrations, July long weekend)
Mondays will be used for rainouts and reschedules when necessary.
HOW MUCH: $40 per player.
REGISTRATION PROCESS: Players will register as individuals, but must have team members, team name and their Volleyball Alberta Member Number identified prior to registration. Payment is required at the time of registration. When ready to register, click on the following link. Registration opens April 19. Deadline is May 15th.
